Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's dad came from an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reader and spent her time studying books since there was no TV. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was barely 15 years old, landed a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied in high school. She hoped acting might change the situation. However, the plan didn't pan out. She continued to pursue her dreams. In 1988, she received her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played successful roles for several films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for the Academy Awards.
